Welcome...

to the Birmingham Group Health Services, Inc. (BGHS) website.  BGHS is a state licensed, non-profit behavioral health care provider located in Ansonia, Connecticut, serving the citizens of the Lower Naugatuck Valley and surrounding communities.

One out of every five Americans suffers from some form of mental illness.  Each year, thousands of families are shattered by domestic violence and substance abuse, and still countless others are affected by HIV/AIDS.  For over 25 years, BGHS has been providing hope and help for children, families and individuals affected by these issues.  On these pages, you'll find a wealth of information about our mental health, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, and substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation, advocacy, prevention, and education services, as well as valuable information about our partnerships, volunteer opportunities, fundraising and special events, and giving programs.

At Birmingham Group Health Services, we believe an informed community is a healthier community, so please, take a moment to browse through our website to learn about our services and how we are working to change lives for the better every day!
