TITLE:
Clinic Coordinator
Dept: Clinic
Status: Full Time
Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for an
experienced therapist that combines
administrative/supervisory roles with some
direct service practice. The coordinator
will supervise clinical staff in a community
mental health clinic that treats adults with
mental health and substance abuse problems,
while also coordinating with our team of
psychiatrists, community support providers
and rehab workers. Familiarity with
evidence-based practices for treating
individuals with behavioral health
challenges in Connecticut ’s publically
funded health system. Excellent pay and
benefits.
Qualifications:
Experience with both mental health
and substance abuse populations needed. LCSW
or other licensure required. Additional LADC
a plus

TITLE:
Advocate - Night / Weekend
Dept: DVS of Greater New Haven
Status: PerDiem/Part-time/Full-time
Schedules: 4pm – 12am Sunday – Saturday;
12am – 8am Sunday - Saturday; 8am - 4pm
Saturday -Sunday
Description:
Provide direct services to sheltered
and non-sheltered victims of domestic
violence in person or via the hotline.
Conduct client intakes, make referrals to
appropriate resources, provide advocacy,
counseling, act as liaison to other
agencies, and input client information on
ALICE database system.
Requirements:
Crisis intervention skills essential. Must
be able to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with clients, staff,
and representatives of a variety of
community agencies. Must be able to work
alone and as part of a team. BA in human
services field and one year experience or
four years of relevant education and
experience in lieu of degree. Demonstrated
oral and written skills required. Average to
above average computer proficiency and
knowledge of Microsoft office. Good
counseling, case management skills, and
knowledge of community resources required.
Sensitivity to battered women’s issues and
maturity required. Bi-lingual
(English/Spanish) ability desirable.

TITLE:
Peer Engagement Specialist
Dept: Specialty Services / Social Rehab.
Status: Part-time (20 hrs. wk.)
Description:
Provide intensive outreach services to
engage or re-engage ‘at risk” individuals
with mental health, substance abuse, and or
community support service needs. Facilitate
peer and mutual support activities and
groups; maintain flexible schedules to meet
consumer’s needs; provide education around
mental health and substance abuse problem;
encourage and assist consumer in becoming
active participants in the community.
Requirements:
Drug and alcohol Rehabilitation
Certificate (DARC) or Certification as a
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP)
preferred. High School diploma or GED along
with 2 years experience in a community
mental health environment. Personal
experience with mental illness and/or
substance abuse. Knowledge of psychiatric
rehabilitation a plus.

Rehabilitation Counselor (DDS)
Dept: Specialty Services
Status: Part-time (17.50 hrs. wk.)
Description:
Provide one to one personal supports
including community based and in home skill
building. Support individuals who are
competitively employed. Provide support to
the group supported employment program.
Maintain flexible schedules to meet
consumer’s needs; coordinate services with
DDS; encourage and assist consumer in
becoming active participants in the
community.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED along
with 2 years experience providing community
based care.
