TITLE: TBI Counselor
DEPT:  Specialty Services
STATUS:  Part-time (17.50 hrs/week)

Description:
Provide on-the-job training and support services to individuals with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities to obtain and maintain competitive employment.  Assist in developing jobs, provide independent living skills training, and perform situational assessments in the community as required. 

Requirements:
Must have excellent communication skills; ability to promote community based independence through skill building, consumer choice and constructive feedback as appropriate; demonstrated ability to be flexible, objective and non-judgmental in dealing with consumers, families and peers; have basic understand of third party concepts and reimbursements; and basic computer skills - Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, education, social work  or related field and minimum of one year experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injury.
