Community Coalition
For A Drug Free Valley

Help fight substance abuse in the Valley by joining the Valley Substance Abuse Action Council's  (VSAAC) Community Coalition for a
Drug-Free Valley!

What Is A Community Coalition?
A community coalition is a volunteer group of concerned citizens, parents, students, educators, business leaders and other community stakeholders who meet and work to together to develop and promote anti-substance abuse initiatives and policies to make the community a healthier and safer place to work and live.
 

Who Can Join the Coalition?n?
Anyone who is interested in helping to create a drug-free community can join.  Please get involved!  The coalition cannot work without community participation!
 
How Can You Get Involved?
The coalition meets monthly at various locations in the Valley.  We are currently looking for new members who would like to help us develop strategies and support for anti-substance abuse initiatives.  If you would like to join us, or would like more information about how you can help, please call us at

Free Training for Valley Congregations!

Become a resource for members of your congregations struggling with addiction challenges!

VSAAC, in conjunction with the Valley Parish Nurse program, is offering a free Congregation Assistance Program (CAP) Training for members of Valley congregations.  Develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide support, hope, and referral for those in need.

Training begins this spring!  Call VSAAC at (203) 736-8566 for more information or to reserve your free training spot!  This free training is sponsored by the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Problem Gambling Services: www.DMHAS.state.ct.us/gambling.
