Birmingham Group Health Services, Inc.'s Warmline is an innovative support program that offers persons affected by mental illness a free phone number to call for support, a chat, or just an ear to talk to. The Warmline is answered by persons recovering from mental illness (with support from BGHS staff) who very often "have been in the caller's shoes" and can offer reassurance, guidance, or just time to listen to those in need.
